CNIB Lake Joseph Centre and Blind Fishing Boat present a week of fishing!

Join us for the first-ever Lake Jo Fishing Camp for people living with vision loss held July 12-18, 2009 at CNIB Lake Joseph Centre (Lake Jo). Guest speakers, seminars and on-the-water experiences will be sure to leave you with great stories, memories and a whole lot of new information on fishing techniques and gear. The week is being organized and led by Lawrence Euteneier, a semi-professional fisher, guide and person living with vision loss.

Lake Jo Fishing Camp participants will have the opportunity to:

* fish for lake trout, small and large mouth bass, perch and other panfish;
* learn different fishing techniques including knot tying, rod and reel selection, fishing with soft plastics, spinnerbait and crankbait presentations and jigging;
* listen to special guest speakers and discover fishing secrets for success;
* and much more!

Each participant will receive a special award and gift at the end of the week.

Participants will need to bring a fishing rod and reel (must be familiar with its use), rain gear, sun hat and your own properly fitting Personal Flotation Device (Lake Jo has PFDs to borrow if needed). Accommodation and meals, including a traditional shore lunch, is included, along with fishing lures and bait.

For more information about the CNIB Lake Jo Fishing Camp, please contact Lawrence Euteneier at info@blindfishingboat.com. Include a short letter with your Lake Jo Summer Camp application explaining why you want to be part of the 2009 CNIB Lake Jo Fishing Camp.
