Carp Zone Canada – First Edition

On May 17 I took part in the first edition of the Carp Zone Fishing Tournament. There were 20 participants and a grand total of 5 Carp caught throughout the day. A cold front had moved through the day prior and the Carp just turned off. Unfortunately, I was one of the 15 who blanked. It did give me the opportunity to check out some of the competition’s tactics however, and the BBQ that followed was excellent.
Each person participated independently, which meant Maestro and I were on our own for the day. The only challenge we experienced was getting our gear to the peg we drew, but with the assistance from some of the other competitors, all went well.
